Shipping & Returns

Shipping and Handling

All items are packed in strong, secure mailing sacks with extra padding where required, or boxes for larger orders.

We have a single shipping charge of £4.95 for all orders. This applies to UK Mainland only and excludes Northern Ireland. If you require delivery to Scottish Highlands or Islands please contact us for shipping rates as these will be much higher.

Delivery Schedule

All orders that are in stock, if ordered by 3.00pm, are sent Next Day Delivery. A Friday pre 3pm order will be delivered on the following Monday. If you order on after 3pm on a Friday, a Saturday or a Sunday your order will be dispatched on the following Monday, or next working day if a Bank Holiday Weekend.

PLEASE NOTE - 

Once you have placed an order for delivery unfortunately we are not able to hold your parcel and dispatch on a requested date. If you have a scenario whereby you have requested this you have two options: either place the order for when delivery is possible, or use our click and collect service. Please note our C&C service also has a period of which to collect your order by before it goes back into stock.

 

Returns / Order Cancellation

You can cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it either by email to shop@brendas.uk, quoting your name, order number and item/s to cancel; by telephone or by sending the goods back to us with a completed cancellation form

Returned goods must adhere to conditions set out within our returns policy and that comply with the UK Online and Distance Selling Regulations.

Please return items to Brenda's Schoolwear, 130 Frimley Road, Camberley, Surrey GU15 2QN. In original packaging and with tags intact where possible.

We will accept goods back into stock* for refund within 28 days of purchase but outside of the 14 day cancellation you will not be refunded your original shipping cost.

Outside of 28 days we will give an exchange only or issue a digital credit note.

If we agree to accept an item for refund or exchange the goods must be returned in 'as new' condition with the original packaging and/or tags still attached. Items not adhering to these terms are subject to a 15% handling fee at the discretion of the management.

All garments returned are thoroughly inspected and if it appears as though they've been used for any period of time aside from trying on then we cannot issue a refund and you will be asked to collect your goods from the shop.

* Please note that your right to return items does not apply to products which fall into the following categories unless they are faulty:

  • Goods made or supplied to order
  • Socks and tights
  • Under garments and mouth guards
  • Ear plugs
  • Drinks Bottles
  • Swim Hats
  • Hair Accessories

Please Note - End of line Sale items will only be refunded within 28 days of purchase

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, you have the option of us back ordering it for you. You will be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Product Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. From time to time we may run out of a particular style, color or size and we make our best attempt to accurately reflect current stock availability on the Site. Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. We will exchange or refund any products returned to us in as new saleable condition within the stated timescales. We will refund, exchange or repair where necessary any faulty garment or item. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Exchanging Online Purchases

Exchanges are not available for online purchases. What you would have to do is send the item back for a refund and then place a new order for the size or variant that your require. Please visit our Returns Portal for more information.

Returning Bundle Purchases

If you need to return part of a bundle purchase you need to return the whole bundle. If the offer is still available you'll be able to re-purchase with any different sizes you may require.

Faulty Goods

It is imperative that you bring our attention to an issue at the earliest instance, taking photos if possible, retaining packaging etc. 

Items returned as faulty within 6 months of purchase will be inspected and if considered to be faulty due to a manufacturer fault will be repaired. If this is not possible a refund or replacement will be given. If there is any dispute into the cause of a fault i.e. caused by a child, washed wrongly etc, we will return the item to the manufacturer for analysis and decide the appropriate outcome dependent on the results.

Items over 6 months old will be dealt with at the discretion of Brenda's.

Returns by Post

Remember to ask the Post Office/Hermes/Collect Plus etc for your proof of posting certificate and retain it for your reference.

Please note we cannot take responsibility for any postal delay, it is down to you to ensure the goods are back with us in appropriate time for qualifying refunds.

Refusing delivery

If you refuse a delivery you will be liable for any charges incurred to Brenda's Schoolwear Ltd from our couriers and handling agents. This may be subtracted when handling any refund due. You should always accept a delivery and return for a refund via the correct procedure.

Please be aware this can incur a cost of up to, but not limited to, £20 if not followed correctly.

if a delivery is requested to an address that cannot receive the delivery the same scenario as above applies.

Refunding Postage

Under the UK Online Distance Selling Regulations you are entitled to a fourteen day cooling off period in which you are entitled to a full refund including your initial delivery charge, starting from the day you receive the goods. Return postage is at your own cost.

If only part of the original order is returned you will not receive a refund of your original postage cost.

Any goods returned for a refund after the fourteen days you will receive a refund for the goods only. You will not receive a refund for your original or return postage costs.

If we have made a mistake on an item sent to you or it is faulty or damaged then we will refund the delivery charges you have paid to receive that item and any return costs.

Statutory Rights
